Participants gain the skills needed to secure employment, create jobs, and build solutions that address real challenges in their communities.
🎓 BHN Digital Impact Fellowship
The BHN Digital Impact Fellowship is a fully funded, 12-month structured program designed to equip underserved youth, women and girls, and individuals from vulnerable communities across Africa with market-ready digital skills, mentorship, and real-world problem-solving experience.
BHN e.V. delivers this fellowship by combining industry-recognized certifications from leading global technology companies with hands-on, community-based learning. The program goes beyond theory—each participant is required to identify and solve a real-world challenge within their community, particularly in sectors such as education, healthcare, and agriculture. This ensures that learning is not only relevant but directly translates into measurable social and economic impact, including job creation, entrepreneurship, and improved livelihoods.
💻 How the Program Works
BHN e.V. operates a centralized digital learning environment designed to ensure structured, accountable, and scalable program delivery.
✅ Industry Content & LMS Access
All specialization tracks are powered by high‑quality digital learning content sourced from globally recognized, industry‑leading training providers. BHN does not create course content; instead, we secure licenses from top‑ranked international institutions and deliver tailored digital training to underserved and disadvantaged groups.
Participants are onboarded into the BHN LMS (Moodle on Microsoft Azure) and must commit at least 4 hours of study per week to progress through their selected track. Each participant receives a 12‑month LMS license, which expires at the end of the program cycle.
Through the LMS, learners gain access to:
1. Microsoft Teams for weekly 1:1 or group mentorship sessions
2. OneDrive & SharePoint for course materials and collaboration
3. Outlook & Calendar for scheduling, reminders, and communication
This ensures a structured, supported learning journey from start to finish.
✅ Structured Learning & Mentorship System
Participants are supported through:
1. Clearly structured learning pathways aligned with certifications
2. Real‑time progress monitoring and learner support
3. Hybrid mentorship combining 1:1 guidance and cohort-based sessions
4. Active tracking of engagement, course completion, assessments, and project milestones
This system enables BHN to maintain high completion rates, strong engagement, and measurable outcomes across cohorts.
🌍 Real-World Impact
A core requirement of the fellowship is the development of a capstone project.
Each participant must:
1. Identify a real challenge within their community
2. Design a practical, technology-driven solution
3. Develop a prototype or implementation framework
4. Present measurable impact outcomes
This ensures that every fellow graduates not just with knowledge, but with practical experience and a solution that can create real change.
🎯 What You Will Learn
Participants gain job‑ready, in‑demand digital skills aligned with global workforce needs, while developing the ability to apply these skills to solve real‑world problems.
Learning is structured into specialized tracks: AI & Data Science, Cybersecurity & IT Support, Digital Marketing & E-commerce, User Experience (UX) Design, Cloud Computing, and Project & Program Management.
👥 Who Is This Fellowship For?
This fellowship is designed for highly motivated individuals from underserved backgrounds who are ready to commit to building skills, creating opportunities, and solving real problems.
We prioritize:
1. Underserved students and early-stage university learners
2. Women and girls interested in technology
3. Individuals from low-resource or vulnerable communities
4. Candidates seeking employment, entrepreneurship, or economic mobility

Our Commitment to Access, Inclusion & Opportunity
At BHN e.V., we are committed to ensuring that access to opportunity is not determined by financial background or access to resources.
We believe that talented individuals across Africa—especially those from underserved and vulnerable communities—have the potential to succeed but often lack the tools and opportunities needed to unlock that potential.
🚀 BHN Commitment Goal
BHN ensure that potential—not privilege—determines access to opportunity.
