Academy Operations Manager

About the opportunity

The Academy Operations Manager will coordinate reliable day-to-day delivery across BHN Academy Germany. The role will connect scholarship deployment, platform administration, learner support, curriculum operations, partner processes and reporting so scholars receive consistent and timely services.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage the Academy operating calendar, recurring workflows, service standards, priorities and action tracking.
  • Coordinate scholar onboarding, partner invitations, platform access, track allocation and operational communications.
  • Oversee routine learner-support workflows and escalate technical, safeguarding or policy issues appropriately.
  • Maintain accurate operational records and coordinate data exchange with Scholar Success, MEL and partner administration colleagues.
  • Support curriculum publication, course-access guidance and quality-assurance processes.
  • Coordinate Academy staff, volunteers and regional support personnel around approved responsibilities and deadlines.
  • Monitor operational risks, backlogs, recurring issues and service performance and recommend corrective actions.
  • Prepare concise management updates on access, activity, support demand and delivery constraints.

Person specification

Essential

  • Relevant degree or equivalent experience in education operations, programme management, administration or a related field.
  • Experience coordinating online learning, scholarship, student-service or large-scale programme operations.
  • Strong process-management, documentation, prioritization and follow-up skills.
  • Good digital literacy and confidence using learning platforms, spreadsheets and collaboration tools.
  • Ability to coordinate distributed teams and manage high-volume recurring workflows.
  • Excellent English communication and commitment to learner-centered, inclusive service.

Desirable

  • Experience with Moodle, Coursera, DataCamp, Google learning products or comparable platforms.
  • Experience managing volunteers or regional coordinators.
  • Knowledge of learner-support, quality-assurance or education-partner operations.
  • Experience in international or nonprofit education.
