About the opportunity
The Coordinator will manage the day-to-day delivery of BHN Academy Germany’s mentorship programme. The role will support mentors and scholars, coordinate appropriate matching and ensure that mentorship is safe, useful, documented and connected to learning and career goals.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate mentor recruitment, screening, onboarding, profiles, availability and participation records.
- Guide scholars in selecting mentors aligned with their learning tracks, interests and career goals.
- Manage mentorship requests, matching, scheduling workflows, session records, feedback and follow-up.
- Maintain mentorship guidance, templates, FAQs and approved communications on the Academy portal.
- Monitor participation and coordinate follow-up for inactive or unsupported matches.
- Connect mentorship needs with learner support, curriculum and career-services colleagues.
- Apply safeguarding, confidentiality, professional-boundary, consent and data-protection requirements.
- Prepare monthly summaries on use, quality, risks, feedback and outcomes.
Person specification
Essential
- Relevant degree or equivalent experience in education, career development, human resources, programme coordination or a related field.
- Experience coordinating mentorship, coaching, learner support, volunteer engagement or career services.
- Strong interpersonal, scheduling, organization and follow-up skills.
- Ability to communicate sensitively across diverse cultures and professional backgrounds.
- Good digital literacy and confidence using online forms, calendars, spreadsheets and platforms.
- Good English and commitment to safeguarding, inclusion and professional boundaries.
Desirable
- Experience supporting students, early-career professionals, women or youth.
- Knowledge of employability, professional development or digital learning.
- Experience in a nonprofit, university or international programme.
- Additional relevant language capabilities.
