About the opportunity
The Manager will develop and steward technology and community partnerships that expand BHN’s institutional capacity and public-benefit programmes. The role will connect technology providers, civil-society organizations and community institutions with defined needs, responsible utilization and measurable outcomes.
Key responsibilities
- Research and qualify prospective technology, nonprofit, civil-society and community partners.
- Develop outreach, partner briefs, meeting materials and follow-up actions for priority relationships.
- Coordinate due diligence, concept development, agreement preparation and implementation handover.
- Define expected contributions, responsibilities, utilization measures, risks, renewal dates and public-benefit outputs.
- Work with technical and programme teams to ensure proposed tools or partnerships meet real delivery needs.
- Maintain accurate partner records, relationship ownership, commitments and outstanding actions.
- Monitor partner health and document the use and outcomes of donated, discounted or collaborative resources.
- Represent BHN in approved meetings without making unauthorized legal, financial or public commitments.
Person specification
Essential
- Relevant degree or equivalent experience in partnerships, technology, development, business or stakeholder engagement.
- Demonstrated experience developing institutional, technology or community relationships.
- Ability to assess strategic fit, mutual value, partner capacity, risks and implementation requirements.
- Strong English communication, negotiation, presentation and follow-up skills.
- Excellent record-keeping and remote coordination skills.
- Commitment to public benefit, responsible technology, inclusion and ethical partnership practice.
Desirable
- Networks across technology companies, NGOs, CSOs or community institutions.
- Experience with donated technology, nonprofit programmes or digital transformation.
- Experience drafting cooperation agreements or partner workplans.
- Knowledge of Africa and Global South development contexts.
